When I started researching about making from home, the jobs back then didn’t come with a benefits package. The only benefit the company gave a work-from-home employee was that they worked at home.
I guess the mindset was “they’re working from home, what more do could they want.”
That was about 10 years ago. Since then, work-from-home jobs have changed over the years.
At first, there weren’t many big named companies that had a work-from-home program for employees. And once they did, they weren’t offering any health benefits or incentive packages whatsoever.
Gradually though, things started to change. The pay rate started to get better and now there are medical, vision, and dental benefits.
Oh but it gets better. Companies are also offering 401K, vacation and holiday pay as well as paid time off to their work-from-home employees as well.

Yes, telecommuting jobs are definitely competing with the 9-5 norms. But because of all the misconceptions there are about working from home these jobs are often overlooked. And I hope to change that.
